Back in 2007, Graham Sherman met his buddy and Tool Shed co-founder Jeff while working on Government / Military IT infrastructure and satellite communication projects throughout Afghanistan. They connected over a love for taking their hobbies WAY too far and Tool Shed Brewing is the natural result of two good home brewing friends that took their favourite hobby further than most. From its inception in Graham’s backyard tool shed on a basic 5-gallon home-brew system, Tool Shed Brewing Company has always been destined for great things. Today Graham and the amazing team at Tool Shed bring an obsessive love for great craft beer and a high level of geekery to the craft of making it! Everyone grew up being told to find something you love to do, and then find a way to make a career of it! Almost every home-brewer who’s taken that first sip of their VERY OWN, home-brewed creation, has experienced that contemplative smirk break across their face as they enjoy their craft, all the while, fantasizing about quitting their job in favour of a lifetime of bringing great beer to like-minded people. As Tool Shed Brewing continues to grow we naturally continue to run into more like-minded people with the same passion and are building our brewery around these great folks at the core.

Nine Locks Brewing Co. began like many of today’s larger craft beer companies, with a small brewpub making great beer. Shaun O’Hearn, president and co-founder of Nine Locks Brewing Company, was a restaurateur for years before he discovered craft beer, but when he did he loved it so much he built a brewpub under his Halifax landmark pub and eatery, Your Father’s Moustache. Before long, the craft beers they were brewing were so popular, fans of his beer were telling him that he should package it to sell in local beer stores. Unfortunately, his liquor license only allowed him to sell his beer in the restaurant. After hearing this repeatedly, Shaun decided that it would be a good idea to take the beer to the next level.
Light, crisp, effervescent, and quenching, this seasonal Nine Locks Blonde is a North American-style Weizen brewed with Canadian wheat and barley. Bready, grainy wheat notes give way to a slightly tart, acidic finish with a refreshing hint of watermelon. It is the perfect choice for a summer BBQ, a night out with friends, or anytime you’re thirsting for something a little different.
Is there anything like a delicious, cold glass of beer to bring people together? We don’t think so, either. That’s why we’ve poured so much passion and dedication into every single drop. From carefully crafted recipes to high-quality ingredients, we’re never satisfied until you are.
The Lagabière microbrewery has come a long way since the first beers in the family garage! Lagabière was born from an unconditional love for beer. Since the very beginnings of the microbrewery, the founding brothers have had the pleasure of offering beers of exceptional quality. The ultimate goal: to taste quality products, with pleasure!
Lagabière’s flagship product, this delicious “New England” or “North-East” India Pale Ale has an opaque appearance that is typical of the style. The nose reveals an explosive bouquet of hops reminiscent of citrus and tropical fruit, giving the impression of a fruit juice. In the mouth, a slight bitterness as well as intense flavours of fruity hops conceal its relatively high alcohol content. Ta Meilleure has become the point of reference for NEIPA beer in Quebec.
Origin Malting & Brewing – Women in the brewery
"Origin Malting & Brewing is very proud to be involved in the Beerfest -Women in Beer. Over half of Origin's full-time staff are women and all our taproom employees as well. These women are all vital to the success at Origin and jumped at the opportunity to be part of such a cool initiative. In all we had eight of our awesome women take part from innovation, brewing and marketing with many coming in on their day off to do whatever it took to make this project happen. Origin Malting & Brewing couldn’t be more excited for this delicious beer to hit the shelves".
OUR BARN BURNER BLONDE ALE OFFERS A DELIGHTFUL AND WELL BALANCED EXPERIENCE, CHARACTERIZED BY A HARMONIOUS INTERPLAY OF MALT SWEETNESS AND GENTLE HOP PRESENCE.
YOU'LL NOTICE A LIGHT AND CLEAN MALT PROFILE THAT IMPARTS A SUBTLE SWEETNESS, REMINISCENT OF HONEY OR BISCUITS. A RESTRAINED HOP BITTERNESS COMES INTO PLAY, ADDING AN EXQUISITE LAYER OF COMPLEXITY TO THE FLAVOR PROFILE.
THE TASTE OF OUR BARN BURNER BLONDE ALE IS AN INVITING COMBINATION OF SIMPLICITY AND SOPHISTICATION.
Here at Bridge Brewing we are obsessed with sustainability. We brew with as little impact on the Earth as possible. From the moment we select ingredients to the end of the brewing process when we have waste product to dispose of and use in other places, we analyze our footprint and make decisions towards a more sustainable future.
We purchase our top quality and fresh grains and hops in small quantities to ensure a constant product that meets our high standards. We are also good members of the community, striving to be a zero waste brewery. We can proudly claim to be 99% waste-free.
We're big on making delicious beers and food that satisfy both you and our planet. We take a zero waste approach when it comes to beer making - seriously - zero. We make nearly no garbage. 99% of everything that comes into the brewery either goes out in bottles to be consumed, eaten or recycled and used for other things. Have a question about our sustainability initiatives? Pop into the brewery and ask a team member or just take a look at how many recycling bins are outside next time you visit - there's a lot.
This Bridge Brewing original has influences from both a British pale ale and an American pale ale. Crystal malts provide notes of caramel and toffee while kettle, whirlpool, and dry hop additions of Cascade provide floral, pine, and slight grapefruit characteristics.

Serendipity. That’s how we describe how we came together to form a community brewery in Calgary over a decade ago. Seven founders with over 180 years of beer experience, and fifty accomplished community leaders we call Beer Barons, came together with a clear intention: make beer they’d want to drink and do some good in the community. The result? This group of enterprising individuals came together and created the ultimate community-focused craft brewery. And, umm, did we mention tasty beer?
Our Italian Pilsner is the last thing to get on your nerves. Pet Peeve is light-bodied and clean like a Pilsner should be. Dry hopping with a variety of noble hops reveals a pleasant bitterness to an otherwise malt-forward profile. Lush, and unapologetic. Life’s too short to sweat the small stuff (like your Uncle who chews too loud), drink Village instead.
Celebrate our Canadian beers this Canada Day! Feel free to visit the breweries during normal business hours.
